BREATHE EASY FOUNDATION LAUNCH AT UK

The launch took place at the Bridge Chapel Centre in Liverpool with over 70 attendees The event started with a short prayer by Dr Joseph Garr –one of the Trustees. He also welcomed everyone and gave overview of the programme.

The guest speaker for the day was Dr Rosaline Garr-Consultant Paediatricianand the title of the talk was “Let’s talk about Asthma”. She spoke about the cause or triggers of Asthma, and how it can be treated as well as prevented. She laid emphasis on the avoidance of the triggers and how this could reduce the morbidity and mortality rate

The Chair of the Foundation Mrs Dorcas Akeju, OBE then spoke about how the Foundation started and how herself and family wanted to turn their grief to a positive outcome. She explained the main aim of the Foundation which is to help as many sufferers as possible. She highlighted the work already done with two Teaching Hospitals and two Health Centres in Nigeria. The Foundation has also been able to support some beneficiaries.

A video made by Professor Erhabor-Director of Asthma and Chest Care Foundation-a charity organisation in Nigeria was then shown to the Audience. Watch It Below.
